About Me...

That oh-so-familiar logo...
I work at AT&T as a Unix system administrator. My team supports a total of 12,000 users in about 60 cities all over the United States (there's also a site in Canada and one in Puerto Rico).

I have worked with Unix for about a year and a half and I find it to be a wonderfully logical operating system. We are running HP-UX on all 12,000 workstations.
I am a huge fan of the Fox television show "Millennium". I really thought Chris Carter was clever with the X-Files, but Millenium has surpassed this series in every way.

If you've never watched this show, or perhaps only watched the first season (the second season is much deeper and the serial killer theme from the first season was pretty much played out), you need to! It'll be in reruns now and a bit harder to follow since they will probably be out of order, but you can read the episode guide at the Official Millennium web page.

I must admit, though, that I am a little concerned with how the season finale left things this year. Appearantly (which is all you can ever go by with this show - since nothing is ever definate) quite a large part of the population of the earth has "snuffed it" due to a plague. The casualties include some of the main characters including Frank Black's wife (I didn't really like her anyway) and perhaps Laura Means (since she gave up her antidote to Frank's child). Where to go next year? Only Chris Carter knows, but I have this vision of Frank Black and the very dark Peter walking around scowling all the time.

Of course, that is what this season was mostly about anyway...
